Friends of Chamber Music – Takacs Quartet

Since live performances will not be possible in our concert halls this winter and spring, Friends of Chamber Music is going virtual by presenting online concerts with our guest artists, made especially for Portland audiences. The continued support of our patrons and that of our concert sponsors has allowed us to continue to work with these artists to generate much needed income for them as well as enjoyment for the community. Each virtual concert will be available at 3:00 pm on its release date and on demand for 72 hours. All virtual concerts will be accessible to the public and free to watch on Friends of Chamber Music’s YouTube channel.

- Mozart: Quartet in D minor, K421 (I. Allegro moderato)
- Samuel Coleridge- Taylor: Five Fantasiestücke (I. Prelude, III. Humoresque)
- Florence Price: Quartet No. 2 in A minor (II. Andante)
- Bartók: Quartet No. 1, Op. 7 (Introduzione: Allegro, III. Allegro vivace)
- Debussy: Quartet in G minor (III. Andantino, doucement expressif, IV. Très modéré – En animant peu à peu – Très mouvementé et avec passion)
