$15 per household

Virtual Concert

The 2020/2021 virtual concert season continues with “REVERDIE: The Return of Spring,” Saturday April 17th at 7PM at Nordic Northwest. The word reverdie has a long history dating back as far as the 14th century: Derived from a verb, reverdir, meaning “to become green again,” a reverdie is a song, poem or dance performed in celebration of the return of the spring.

Celebrated pianist Maria Garcia returns to Nordic Northwest to perform Chopin’s lively The Harp Etude and a Mazurka and Wedding at Troldlhaugen by Edvard Grieg, a celebration of a another type of new beginning. The powerhouse duo join musical forces to present the virtuosic Chaconne by Tomaso Vitali, Sibelius’ Violin Concerto in D minor, Op. 47, and Adagio (second movement) of the Suite in A minor by Norwegian composer Christian Sinding, which has been performed by virtuosos Itzhak Perlman and Jascha Heifetz.
