NACUSA 2021 Virtual New Music Festival

April 17, 2021 @ 3:30 pm – May 2, 2021 @ 6:00 pm PDT

Virtual Concert

Free Donations accepted.

Cascadia Composers, the Northwest chapter of the National Association of Composers USA (NACUSA), in partnership with Lewis & Clark College, will host NACUSA’s biennial conference as a virtual experience with all events held online for the very first time in the organization’s 87 year history. The conference is open to the public and offers abundant opportunities to experience the hottest trends and most captivating techniques in modern classical music through six days of concerts and presentations.

Spanning three weekends beginning Saturday, April 17th, The NACUSA 2021 Virtual New Music Festival will present online lectures (starting at 3:30 p.m. PDT) and concerts (starting at 5:00 p.m. PDT). Featured artists in the festival include the dazzling piano duo Stephanie and Saar, the Evergreen Experimental Music Ensemble (from The Evergreen State College,WA) and Lewis and Clark College’s resident new music ensemble, Friends of Rain. Chamber, choral, percussion and electro acoustic new music by both established and young composers from across the country will be featured throughout this wildly varied new music festival!

There’s no charge to view concerts or lectures, but your donation helps us create events like this.
